THE COMMISSION

To assemble a digital ecosystem for sports photography across 20+ cities of Russia: a marketing site and an account area where a competitor finds their own shots among thousands of others, while photographers, retouchers and managers keep galleries and orders in a single window.

The client's intent:

To move away from sorting thousands of shots by hand after every event: up to 10,000 participants should find their own photographs themselves and buy them at once, while galleries, price lists and team roles live in one system rather than in folders and chats.

What we delivered:

A digital ecosystem, turnkey — a marketing site with a bespoke design on Tilda and a functional account area on Laravel 12, which in effect became the client's own CRM: galleries and portfolios filtered by sport, price lists and nomenclatures, orders, reports and exports, and multiple currencies.

The key mechanic is face recognition: a participant uploads their own photograph, the system finds every shot of them from the event and gathers them into a basket. We built multi-level access across five roles — photographer, distribution manager, sales manager, administrator and retoucher, each seeing only their own. We connected card acquiring and SBP fast payments, storage on Yandex Disk, automatic watermarks and Telegram notifications.

A comprehensive ANALYSIS was conducted

  • COMPETITORS

The market for sports photography rests on manual labour: the photographer shoots a competition, sorts thousands of frames into folders by hand and sends them out through messengers and social networks. Hence the conclusion for the structure of the product — the winner is not the one with the better frame, but the one where a participant finds themselves within a minute and buys without leaving the gallery.

  • AUDIENCE

We examined the scenarios rather than 'clients in general': a competitor looks for themselves, the parent more often pays, the organiser commissions the shooting of a whole event, the club collects the team shots. A separate audience is internal: the photographer, the distribution manager, the sales manager, the retoucher and the administrator. Each needs a different span of data, and so access was divided by role — distribution and retouching see neither prices nor contacts.

  • NICHE

There are hundreds of sporting events in the country, yet no service was built for them — only scattered photographers. The platform closed the niche entirely: around 52 kinds of sport, events from a few dozen to 10,000 participants, 20+ cities of Russia and an entry into Belarus with multiple currencies. So the shooting ceased to be a photographer's service and became a product: digital images, prints, photo albums, canvases and calendars in a single catalogue.

ADAPTED FOR EVERY DEVICE

Here the telephone is not the second screen but the principal one: a participant looks for themselves right at the venue — takes a selfie and receives their shots at once — while parents more often buy from the phone. And so the mobile version was made first: face search, the gallery, the basket and payment all work in a single tap. The photographer's and manager's areas are adapted too — a shoot can be uploaded and orders sorted without opening a laptop.
