The market for motorbike rental in Vietnam proved thoroughly fragmented: no single brand holds a notable share, and the largest operator works in three cities alone. Hence the conclusion for the structure of the site — the winner is not the one who charges least, but the one where a machine is found and reserved within a minute.
We examined the itineraries of travellers rather than clients in general: the tourist for a few days, the expatriate for months, the one-way passage between cities, the novice without a licence. Each carries its own logic of choice. The principal flow is Russian-speaking, with Europe following, and so two language versions became a requirement rather than an option.
Travel to Vietnam grows year upon year while the supply remains scattered — the position of a network working alike in six cities at once stood open. So the site ceased to be a rental window and became a service for the traveller: rental, the selection of a machine to purchase, and a riding school.
The site is composed for four breakpoints, from the wide desktop down to 380 px. Reservations are made chiefly from the telephone, and so the mobile version was drawn first: the menu, the catalogue filters and the machine card were reworked so that the city, the dates and the model may be chosen with a single thumb.
